The BC CoHab is a flexible purpose office space built for startups, small non-profits, and anyone looking for meeting space or simply a quiet place to get work done.

We provide access to a professional environment including innovative workspace, internet, utilities, conference rooms, and more. Choose from different membership options for any circumstance. From 9-5, M-F access to one of our shared cafe spaces, your own workstation and file cabinet 24/7, to a small office just for your business or organization. Our flexible purpose office space can be built around your needs.



Like the name suggests, with our Mailbox Memberships you can use our downtown mailing address, we’ll grab your mail, sign for your packages, keep them in a safe spot, and let you know when you’ve gotten a delivery. It’s simple and easy in case you want a professional downtown address for your company.


Commons Membership provides access to our common areas during normal operating hours 9am-5pm Monday thru Friday, except holidays. Each common area (there are 4) have some combination of conference tables, couches, and chairs. Find a spot, open up your laptop, sit down for a meeting, and get to work.


Our Workstation Memberships give you your own desk and some lockable storage to keep your things safe. Of course, you’re free to hang out in our commons areas as well, for those times when you want a change of scenery or for a meeting. This membership also means our second floor is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.


For companies or non-profits with their own office as well as visiting out of town consultants or suppliers, we offer access to common areas or workstations in what we call our Enterprise Memberships.  We can offer combinations of Commons and Workstation Memberships specifically tailored to the needs of your company or non-profit.

Inge’s Place was created in September 2013 to transform our building into a local economy center to incubate and showcase solutions. We believe in the power of locally-owned businesses and startups as well as the entrepreneurial capacity of non-profit social enterprises and cooperative forms of ownership. We have The BC CoHab, which is a 3,800 sqft flexible purpose office space built to foster the kind of economic revitalization we need in Battle Creek. Our Buy Local Market is a shared retail space in our building for entrepreneurs to sell their locally-made products, an online store for those same products, and a shared brand for area small businesses. Together, we believe these solutions can play a pivotal role in revitalizing our local economy.
